Rabbi Jack and Cantorial Soloist Debbye Zanerhaft
Rabbi Jack Zanerhaft has joined Congregation Etz Chaim in June of 2006 as the Congregation's first Rabbi. Currently, Rabbi Zanerhaft has a successful law practice specializing in personal injury defense. Rabbi Zanerhaft has received his undergraduate degree in economics and history from Brooklyn College. He received his J.D. (Juris Doctorate) from Vermont Law School and completed prosecutors school at Northwestern University School of Law. After many years of studying at an Orthodox Rabbinical Yeshiva in Brooklyn, he was ordained in 2005 at Bet Din in New York, NY. Rabbi Zanerhaft is also active in the Tulsa Jewish Community, serving on the boards of both the community relations committee and the Holocaust Education Council.
Cantorial Soloist Debbye Zanerhaft has also joined Congregation Etz Chaim in June of 2006. Mrs. Zanerhaft brings many years of formal music training including studying musical theatre at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. She has performed in many musicals and toured with other artists. Mrs. Zanerhaft has officiated at lifecycle events and served as guest cantorial soloists at several congregations.
Rabbi and Mrs. Zanerhaft are committed and involved members of Congregation B'nai Emunah in Tulsa, OK. They have also served as advisors for the B'nai Brith youth organization. Their son, Jaron, will be a Freshman at University of California at Berkley this Fall.
